Daybreak Evening Meals: Groups are being sought
to provide a 4:30 evening meal once a month at Daybreak.
The meal is prepared on site or in a licensed kitchen
and brought to Daybreak. Either those who prepared the
meal or others would have the opportunity to serve the
meal to Daybreak members.

Soup Kitchen Meals: From time to time groups
are needed to replace one of the regular groups serving
a lunch meal at the Soup Kitchen on Tuesdays, Wednesdays
or Thursdays. Five to seven people are needed on a once
a month basis. Food is generally prepared on site and
can be provided by the Soup Kitchen or by the serving
group. There is also a need for ministers to give the
noon-time prayer and be available for consultation for
an hour.

Pathways Resource Counselor - Assist persons
to move along their own particular "pathways" toward
self-sufficiency. Includes interview-making, making
appointments with appropriate agencies and follow-up.
Deanne Malacsics, Pathways Director, offers training
and supervision. A Resource Counselor will be working
directly with people experiencing loss of work, emergency
needs and homelessness. Minimum time requirement: one-half
day per week.

Daybreak Volunteer: Assist staff with meal
preparation, field trips, bookkeeping, special events,
one-on-one conversation, crafts, games, etc. Daybreak
members are people who have experienced mental illness,
homelessness and or addictions. Hours are flexible and
negotiable.

Office Assistants: Assist staff with large
mailings preparation. Time requirement: once or twice
a month. The office is also looking for persons to staff
the reception desk from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Committee Work: The Conference continually
seeks to augment existing committees, offering opportunities
to utilize talents in Finance, Public Relations, Personnel,
Development, Ecumenism, the annual CROP Walk, or helping
to shape any of the ongoing ministries such as Daybreak,
Pathways, Soup Kitchen, Linkage or Homeless Supportive
Services.

Clothing Room - Two or three people needed
to sort clothing in the clothing room, from 10 to 11:30
a.m. You can volunteer once a week or one day a month.

an inventory of food.

Become a Mentor: The Aspires Mentoring program
is looking for volunteers to mentor students who are
in risk of not completing high school. The Mentor would
meet with the student on a regular basis (usually weekly)
to provide a caring role model who encourages and supports
the student to discover and develop their abilities
and make good decisions about their future.

In-Kind Donations - The Conference welcomes donations
of the following items:
- Toiletries
- Diapers
- Clothing appropriate to the season
- Laundry products
- Blankets
- Items for Bingo prizes
- Canned foods, fresh fruits and vegetables
- Paper products, such as napkins, towels and toilet paper
- Cleaning supplies
- Funds for bus tickets to doctor's appointments and job
interviews
